We also offer a selection of highly rated wines from around the world. In addition, we seek out little known wines from hot new wineries and find super values for our customers.
Since 1983, we have searched for and established many relationships with small boutique, premium wineries. This allows us to offer wines to you that are often still undiscovered and very difficult to acquire. Old and Rare Wine
The St. Helena Wine Merchants sells a tremendous amount of properly stored wines from customers. Only after carefully scrutinizing the storage conditions and physically examining the bottles do we put these wines up for sale. Because these older (often irreplaceable) wines are sold on an "as is" basis, we place our reputation on each old and rare bottle in our inventory. Please understand that our library wines often present qualities that are vastly different from their current release counterpoints- elegance, subtlety, complexity- the hallmarks of a mature wine. TRISTANT VINEYARDS
Our 2006 Mirifice is a blend of 80% estate grown high end Merlot, 15% Napa Valley hillside Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Calistoga Napa Valley Petite Verdot. Our viticultural practice is 100% organic. We do not use pesticides or inorganic chemicals. The estate grown Merlot provides a uniform balance and smoothness with deep long fruits. The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, balance and longevity for aging. The Calistoga Napa Valley Petite Verdot provides a deep purple color, expresso and dark chocolate flavors.
