Since the first vintage in 1991, the Beaux Frères philosophy remains the same; to produce a world-class Pinot Noir from small, well-balanced yields and ripe, healthy fruit that represents the essence of our vineyard. In pursuit of these goals, the Beaux Frères Vineyard is planted with tightly spaced vines, and yields are kept to some of the lowest in our industry. The grapes are harvested when physiologically (rather than analytically) ripe. The winemaking philosophy is one of minimal intervention with clean fermentations utilizing indigenous yeast. These non-manipulative, uncompromising methods guarantee a wine that is the most natural and authentic vineyard expression possible.

The Donum Estate is both a place and a unique project. In fact, it’s three places. Donum Ranch is a 200-acre property with 70 acres devoted to vines located on gently rolling hills that rise up from San Pablo Bay in Carneros. Less than a mile away is the venerable 20-acre Ferguson Block. And the 11 acres of Nugent Vineyards lie to the north in the Russian River Valley.They farm all three vineyards, which provide superlative estate grown fruit for thr “ultimate Pinot Noir project.” Based on a Burgundian grand cru model, this program’s goal is to produce the finest Pinot Noir possible.
